PERBANAS is the umbrella organization for national banking in Indonesia and serves as a communication platform that bridges its members in conveying banking aspirations to the government and as a strategic partner for banking industry regulators (OJK and Bank Indonesia).
For its members, PERBANAS serves as a platform to contribute to the growth and health of the national banking sector through active and positive forum participation and to encourage mutually beneficial cooperation among members to achieve a professional banking organization.
PERBANAS Education Foundation
PERBANAS not only serves as a forum for Indonesian banking associations but also contributes to the development of human resources in the banking sector. In the 1950s, the scarcity of educated personnel in the banking sector prompted PERBANAS to establish an educational institution specifically focused on this field.
In 1968, the PERBANAS Education Foundation (YPP) was established. This foundation manages two educational institutions: the PERBANAS College of Economics (STIE) and the PERBANAS College of Informatics & Computer Management (STIMIK).
Over time, the two colleges were merged into the Asian Banking, Finance and Informatics Institute (ABFII). This merger is expected to further focus educational activities under PERBANAS' auspices on the sustainable development of finance and banking.
